Darlene H. Young Leadership Academy

Chair: Honorable Johnny R. Barideaux
 
Blacks In Government and Morgan State University has formed a leadership training vehicle to foster excellence in leadership within the organization of Blacks In Government to develop professional and personal leadership skills within the membership. This highly interactive training uses dynamic instruction and numerous activities to emphasize leadership traits and facilitate discussion on leadership issues.

Future Leaders In America's Government

Chair: Honorable Kathy Best

Blacks In Government members serve as mentors to youth participating in the FLAG program. Mentoring provides success among youth by providing a stable, guiding force in transforming the lives of youth. 

Legal Review

Chair: Ms. Aditya McDuffy, Esq.
 
The Legal Review Committee reviews legal decisions involving policy interpretations affecting Black government employees and develops strategies to define BIG’s legal disposition and direction.

Military Veterans Emphasis Program

Chair: Mr. Marcus Brooks

The MVEP serves as an internal consultant to BIG and promotes the use of the Veterans Administration and community programs, benefits and services for BIG military veterans and their family members. In addition, MVEP makes recommendations to the National Executive Committee that will better serve military veterans and their families.

NOW Generation Program

Chair: Ms.  Alesia Smith
 
The NOW Generation focuses on programming for young professionals of BIG under the age of 40 looking to enhance their success and become leaders in the workplace.
